Doing Olaplex treatment today...Olaplex, revealed

OK so I got Olaplex today, and also ordered L’oreal Pro Fiber serum (since I have yet to find a leave in that doesn’t make my hair dirty).
And I know I was supposed to wait til next week to do it as I am doing weekly treatments basically based on which week it is after bleach - but I couldn’t wait!. I DID it, leaving it overnight!. I woke up to wonderfully soft, voluminous Hair!.. I was very pleased 😀

I know I was suppose to leave it for a “minimum of 20 minutes” but left it all night under the cap, here is my hair with no oils or anything at all after: it feels like “real hair” again!.. Not the usual straw wires.

Also...Boy, have I got for you some juicy tea...a revolutionary conspiracy theory about Olaplex!!!.

What is Olaplex #1 we all know... But what about Olaplex 2? And Olaplex 3? What sourcery is this?. Basically a liquid that we all call “number 2”, could be simply a mix of conditioner PLUS number 1. And as far as number 3 goes - you already  know where I’m going with this, don’t you? It’s just the same number 1 with even MORE conditioner!.

So I decided to perform my own experiment with it - thankfully I have PLENTY of number 1 to play with! ;). Somehow applying with water first and following up with cream/conditioner after, perhaps seals the treatment. I don’t know if you are aware of the LOC principle : liquid, oil, cream principle that curly beauties apply in order to hydrate their hair. Somehow following this principle really opens then seals the cuticle. Maybe :)  This conspiracy theory is not fully explicit ;)

Anywho...to recap my weekly treatment breakdown here it is again:

-Week One is Keratin treatment because I have discovered that if I do Keratin/ protein treatment  BEFORE toning, the hair dyes/pigments go on the most evenly that I had seen in my life. In my case the purple masks or/and shampoos I’ve been doing leave my mane truly platinum without patchiness, no purple or lavender  streaks, it comes out perfectly platinum, every.damn.time!. Try Keratin and Protein  Rich mask and a regular mask - then see the difference for yourself!!! It’s earth shattering difference!..

-Week Two is for Olaplex treatment
-Week Three is for Oil Treatment
-Week Four is for Ampoule Treatment

And then Oil Treatment also the night before bleaching during week 5...By the way the order is not important except for Week 1, when I usually tone my hair. If your hair is properly toned for an ample amount of time - you would not need to repeat again for the remainder of the month.

But if you don’t have satisfactory results it’s usually because you didn’t hold enough time, or didn’t wear a cap/towel/thermal cap, or didn’t apply Keratin/Protein treatment prior the procedure in order to fill the porous parts of he hair shaft.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Olaplex stand-alone treatments once a month for a noticeable difference in hair health, softness and strength.

January Hair

It’s January, happy New Year to all Hair maniacs across the globe!. I’m evaluating/measuring my hair. It’s still as damaged as can be - my main gripe is I lost crazy amount of volume to breakage in the fall (which you can see, there are stubs all over my hair not just the ends). So here goes - Hair freshly washed with egg yolk+yogurt+rosemary Essential Oil mix and mask Kaaral Hydra mixed with 1 teaspoon of Keratin P mask applied for an hour, followed by conditioner. Did my hair receive some sweet loving or what?. ;) After that, I blow dried with cool air and applied hair vitamins “Bali Secret” plus oil by Tigi S Factor true lasting color.: none of them give me shine or combat flyaways.  The best tool for flyaways (that I personally know of)  is Keratin Oil by Hask - it really tames the undisciplined hair that sticks out with no reason or rhyme. As far an inches I am definitely noticing some growth this month! New mask: this month I was sent a free trial of Fanola Restru...

Hair Lightening at home with professional bleach powder: HOW TO LIGHTEN YOUR HAIR + PHOTO

Hello everybody, Today I want to share with you my experience of lightening my hair using professional bleaching powder by Barex called Superplex: this powder is a fantastic innovative product from Italy offering a terrific built-in protection for hair shaft - imagine adding Olaplex to your regular powder but without all the hassle - the ingredient is fully disclosed to be a “Polyamino Sugar Condensate”, a blend of sugars and proteins made to prevent breakage. The seller included many free samples of Italian hair products so I’m delighted that I will have a few more products to review in the next few days. The developer I chose was a 50/50 mix of volume 20 and volume 10: so around vol.15 or 4,5% peroxide content. According to instructions printed on the tub, we are to mix 1:2 ratio of white powder to developer, which I followed. How Much Product? For my shoulder length hair I took 2 scoops powder (30 ml scoop x2) and 4 scoops developer. I think longer hair would need double tha...

February update: new hair products. Keep your hair healthy and damage-free~

Its now been around 1 month since my last update. I have bleached my hair again and hardly lost any volume at all with the weekly treatment regiment that I wrote in my earlier posts:  keratin treatments  have been a life saver. (As I tend to lose hair on week 3 post-bleaching, because it’s highly porous, damaged and thin).   Also I have finally found an ideal hair oil for me: after so many failures, I'm finally happy with this champion in hair taming: welcome  KERASTASE ULTIME beautifying oil.   Although pricey, it had amazing beautifying effect on my hair: it makes it "disciplined", so that it lies as one sheet of shiny, split-end-free, frizz-free, long hair with no greasiness or stickiness at all!!! Call me crazy but my hair looks longer with it, due to a strange straightening effect from it. Adding a little bit of shine (very subtle, see picture), and it also adds volume. Hair becomes stronger, hardly any hair fall. Hair stays clean longer, I...
