Going No Poo and history of my hair

So... I jumped on a No Poo vagon completely accidentally. You see I accidentally bought a conditioner thinking it was shampoo and started noticing that my hair has been ridiculously soft lately. As artificially Blonde - and I will talk about my methods of de-coloring later - it felt like a sudden epiphany: I am in no way a “natural” girl; in fact I’m chasing the latest and the greatest in hair industry because my lightened hair is dry and prone to breakage. My hair has been a source of woe for the last two years - like a small autistic child, it’s been demanding non stop attention and getting on my nerves. ...Fast forward two years, I had been unable to grown it past 11 inches in front (its longer in the back, about 14 inches simply because I lost those 3 frontal inches in a matter of 2 weeks to horrible breakage after dying my hair with high lift formula by Keune) You might be thinking:”she must be torturing her hair with a 40 volume developer and crazy amount of heat styling, to experience this kind of breakage, right?. WRONG! I am kind and respectful to my hair - if anything I pamper my hair like a true hair maniac, with the most expensive treatments that exist on the planet. However my hair is a terrible snob, after it’s gone blonde. My hair goal right now is to grow out a beautiful waist length BLONDE thick lustrous and healthy locks - I am partial to Elsa type, pearl white hair “color”: although those who dye their hair “white” know that there IS no such color as white: we simply de-color our hair so after undergoing bleaching process it’s technically colorless. The actual pigment that we replace is actually blue and purple :))) Thus blondes are forced to compensate for lost pigment by toning and washing with purple shampoo/conditioner. Right now the game plan is to keep bleaching roots with 10 volume developer and bleach every 4 weeks and to stay away from any hair dyes (including toners). I wash my hair with eggs - plain old raw egg yolks, now. I use only purple conditioner as a hair dye: by keeping it on my hair for several hours, I’m able to get the same effects without all the damage. Treatments that I currently enjoy and fully endorse are Paul Mitchell Awapuhi 2 step keratin treatment and Botox for hair filler by Lador (read my individual reviews for these products on this blog). How I dry my hair: naturally or with hair dryer on Cold. I don’t brush my hair, which is also designed to be a part of my “no hair left behind” policy. Every follicle counts...And it will count until I have finally reached my goal. From 14 inches to 18, to 20 inches, to 22, to 26! And I will be measuring my progress here every month.

January Hair

It’s January, happy New Year to all Hair maniacs across the globe!. I’m evaluating/measuring my hair. It’s still as damaged as can be - my main gripe is I lost crazy amount of volume to breakage in the fall (which you can see, there are stubs all over my hair not just the ends). So here goes - Hair freshly washed with egg yolk+yogurt+rosemary Essential Oil mix and mask Kaaral Hydra mixed with 1 teaspoon of Keratin P mask applied for an hour, followed by conditioner. Did my hair receive some sweet loving or what?. ;) After that, I blow dried with cool air and applied hair vitamins “Bali Secret” plus oil by Tigi S Factor true lasting color.: none of them give me shine or combat flyaways.  The best tool for flyaways (that I personally know of)  is Keratin Oil by Hask - it really tames the undisciplined hair that sticks out with no reason or rhyme. As far an inches I am definitely noticing some growth this month! New mask: this month I was sent a free trial of Fanola Restru...

FIVE Useful Tips for healthier hair TODAY. Say "No" to scissors!

For those who are especially fond of their hair: I will tell you how to rescue the most damaged hair! I know that you might be hungry for more posts with stories and advice about "what to do?" so that the quality of your hair becomes better, and its length - greater!. ...And yet, too many of us start taking care of our hair only when it starts breaking, splitting, and becomes dry... That’s fundamentally wrong because your hair needs your loving care all the time, every season, and not just when you suddenly decided to pay it some of your precious attention!. Therefore this blog was born with secrets and tips for a beautiful mane you can be proud of. 1. Don’t over-wash your hair til it “squeaks”, even if you have oily hair : washing more often won’t save you, if you over-dry your hair by constant washing, instead you will invite dandruff and hair loss. But more importantly it will become oily even sooner!!! 2. If your hair is overly dry, breaks off, or you are force...

Doing Olaplex treatment today...Olaplex, revealed

OK so I got Olaplex today, and also ordered L’oreal Pro Fiber serum (since I have yet to find a leave in that doesn’t make my hair dirty). And I know I was supposed to wait til next week to do it as I am doing weekly treatments basically based on which week it is after bleach - but I couldn’t wait!. I DID it, leaving it overnight!. I woke up to wonderfully soft, voluminous Hair!.. I was very pleased 😀    I know I was suppose to leave it for a “minimum of 20 minutes” but left it all night under the cap, here is my hair with no oils or anything at all after: it feels like “real hair” again!.. Not the usual straw wires. Also...Boy, have I got for you some juicy tea...a revolutionary conspiracy theory about Olaplex!!!. What is Olaplex #1 we all know... But what about Olaplex 2? And Olaplex 3? What sourcery is this?. Basically a liquid that we all call “number 2”, could be simply a mix of conditioner PLUS number 1. And as far as number 3 goes - you already  know whe...
